The origin, nature and relevance of the Scriptures
All Scripture is from God it is inerrant, without flaw and complete.
Spiritual gifts
We believe that all in the body of Christ have been gifted for service, some as shepherds, some as teachers and some as evangelists, etc. We do not however, believe the bible teaches that such phenomena as tongues are for the church of Christ today 1Co 13:9-10. If it were even possible to make a case for the practice of these tongues as described in Acts and Corinthians. The practice that is called “tongues” today, is not at all the same today as it was then.
Baptism of the Holy Spirit
We believe that the Baptism of the Holy Spirit comes upon a person one time and that it is simultaneous to salvation.
The Trinity
The Godhead is a coupling, as it were, of three separate and distinct beings into one unique God. These are not individual God’s in one, but are inextricably of the same nature, yet with three distinct persons. Each and all of whom are addressed as God and are co equal in power and authority. Each, however, having His own role in the life of the believer. As an anthropomorphism God the father is father in office only, the head of Jesus, who in office is the Son of God. The Holy Spirit in carrying out His office as the empowerment of our life in Christ. In person-hood they are equal and one yet, possessing individual offices as Father, Son and Holy Spirit. This truth, as revealed in scripture is undeniable.
God the Father
He is the Father of the Lord Jesus Christ 2 Cor 1:3 and Father over Creation Acts 17:25. The first person of the Godhead.
God the Son
He is the Son of the Father and the redeemer, nothing was created without Him John 1. He is the Son to whom His Father has given the church, a bride for Him Rev.19. He is also the high priest who understands our temptations Heb 15. He is our friend John 15. He ever lives to make intercession for us Heb.7. The second person of the Godhead.
God The Holy Spirit
He is the empowering person of the Godhead. It is the Spirit’s work to make known the supplications of the saints. Rom 8. He illuminates the word to believers and the Holy Spirit lives within each of us from the minute of conversion. This is accomplished through the term “baptism of the Spirit”. He was involved in creation, and is the third person of the Godhead.
The death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ
Jesus died on the cross for the sins of mankind (powerful enough for all, but effectual only for the elect). His death was this death which was spoken of in Romans 3:23 as the wages for sin. He was taken down from the cross by Joseph of Arimathea and laid in His tomb before the Sabbath. On the third day, He rose from the dead. When the women went to the tomb, the stone had been rolled away and a messenger told the women that Jesus was no longer dead and that He would appear to them. He came to the disciples in the upper room. He spent another 40 days teaching and preparing them to establish the church. He then ascended into heaven, where we will see Him also descend from.
The virgin birth of Christ
Mary had never been with a man, she was a virgin. The angel of the Lord appeared to her and told her she would be the mother of Jesus the Messiah. The virgin birth was necessary to insure the pure nature of Jesus and His right to the throne.
Man
Man is a being created by God. He was created in the image of God (man has intellect, emotion and will) and he was created for God’s pleasure. Man was created without sin. Yet, he was given a freewill to choose to obey God. Man however chose to be like God, knowing good and evil. Man since that time has had a sin nature that does not seek after God, but after self.
Sin, atonement, forgiveness, and salvation
Sin is disobedience to God, whether in deed or thought. As in any transgression of any law, there must be repayment or punishment. God has made a way for man not to pay for the sin himself, as that is impossible, but rather to accept the payment as made by Jesus Christ. This is the atonement; it reunites us with God. Because of this atonement, we are saved from the condemnation that was due Rom 8:1, we spend eternity with God not because of anything we have done, but because of what He has done. Since God does the saving, He also preserves. Once we receive our new nature, we can never be snatched out of Jesus’ hand.
Heaven and Hell
Heaven is the place that is being prepared for us Jn 14. It is a place of God’s holy throne room Isa 6, Rev 4 and a place of eternal joy. We will not marry nor be given in marriage, and yet I am certain that we will have full recognition of each other. We see that in the parable of Lazarus and the rich man.
Hell on the other hand is the place that was prepared for the devil and his angels. It will, however, be the final place of all those who deny that which God has made evident to them. Jesus spoke on hell more than anyone else in scripture did. It is a place of outer darkness; there will be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth. It is the place where the fire never goes out and the worm never dies.
Election or Predestination
We believe only that which the Bible clearly teaches through the apostle Paul. Eph 1:4 That believers have been chosen before the foundations of the world. Eph 1:5 That believers are predestined to adoption as sons through Christ Jesus. Rom 8:29 For whom He foreknew, He also predestined {to become} conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the first-born among many brethren;
The security of the believer
Our security is tied to God’s immutability. If God is unchanging, then we need not fear that we will undo what He has purposed to do. However if He is not immutable then we are with out hope. So, thank God, that we need not rely on our ability to persevere, but rather rely on God’s ability to preserve.
The end times
We are pre-mil, pre-trib, dispensational
New Testament church ordinances; their significance and practice
Baptism - Is not for the cleansing of sin, but for the purpose of identification with the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, as seen in the immersion method. Since it also represents an act of obedience to scripture, it must only be administered to those that are able to respond in obedience, not infants.
Communion - The Lord Himself gave us this ordinance, saying “as often as you do this, do it in remembrance of Me”. This is the nature of it. A solemn but joyous time of believers remembering that Jesus willingly went to the cross and bore all of that suffering and death on our behalf. It should be administered at least quarterly if not monthly

Rom 3:23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
Rom 5:6 For while we were still helpless, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. 7 For one will hardly die for a righteous man; though perhaps for the good man someone would dare even to die. 8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Rom 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
